This is about my time as guitarist and songwriter for ‘big beat’ act Environmental Science. The band was something of a white-knuckle ride through a snow blizzard (If you know what I mean) all over Europe. By the time things got particularly leery at an airport in Oslo we all knew the wheels were about to fall off – spectacularly.
lyrics
As I falter on the tarmac
I think someone made a crack about a crash.
I looked another way to see
and suddenly it hit me in a flash.
There must be other ways to fly.
There must be better ways to die.
and when there’s nothing left to do
will I remember you...
CHORUS
by jet trash Tuesday
everybody’s coming down.
jet trash Tuesday
everybody comes around.
On jet trash Tuesday - yeah!
It’s only then we see the light.
Subject to a time lapse
I think someone thought perhaps we’re getting on.
So I fumble through the index,
I see 50,000 Hi flyers can’t be wrong.
There must be something on my mind
the cutting edge cannot define,
and this escape can’t set you free
and you’ve forgotten me...
